The China Foundry Association was established in 1986. It is a national first-level foundry industry organization (corporate entity) voluntarily formed by foundry enterprises, local social organizations, enterprises related to foundry business, research and design institutes, colleges and universities, etc. The registration and management authority is the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China, and the party building work organization is affiliated to the Party Committee of the Central Social Work Department.

The Secretariat is the permanent working body of the association, with 46 branches and 2 domestic offices. There are more than 160 staff members and more than 1,000 expert consultants. The China Foundry Association currently has more than 2,400 direct unit members and more than 160 individual members, including more than 60 group member units. The total number of member units under its jurisdiction is more than 8,000, and the casting output of member units accounts for more than 80% of the total national output.

Business information provision: The China Foundry Association provides member units with the latest industry trends, policies and regulations and market information to help enterprises adjust their business strategies in a timely manner and seize market opportunities. ‌Technical support and consulting services‌: The association provides technical and consulting services to help member units solve technical problems and promote technological innovation and industrial upgrading‌.

2.‌International exchanges and cooperation‌: The association organizes large-scale international exhibitions, international conferences and foreign technical exchange activities to promote exchanges and cooperation between member units and international peers and enhance the international competitiveness of enterprises‌.

‌3.Market order maintenance‌: The association plays a bridging role between the government and enterprises, assists the government in improving industry norms, strengthening industry self-discipline, and maintaining market order and the legitimate rights and interests of member units‌.
